Summersville – Nicholas County broke open a tight game with nine combined runs in the fifth and sixth innings to defeat Liberty 15-5 in six innings.
Lucas Milam and Caleb Burns led the 18-hit attack for the Grizzlies (9-3) with four hits and two RBI each. Cain Ferrell had a double, a single and two RBI. Coleton Hellums also had a double and a single with one RBI.
Jackson Triplett and Grayson Kesterson added two hits apiece and knocked in one run.
Landon Hall had three hits for the Raiders (4-8) and an RBI, while Talan McGraw drove in a pair of runs. Isaac Williams had a double in his two-hit night and one RBI.
