Wyoming East 8, PikeView 6
Gardner – Wyoming East scored six runs in the fifth inning, rallying from a 4-0 hole and holding on for an 8-6 victory Friday at PikeView.
Ryan Mills and Jarred Phillips collected two hits each in the win with Phillips driving in a pair of runs. Miken Smyth pitched all seven innings, picking up the win.
Zach Rose led PikeView with two RBIs in the loss while Jared Vestal collected two hits.
Independence 11, Princeton 0
Coal City – Independence did all of its damage in the first two innings, jumping on Princeton for an 11-0 victory Friday in Coal City.
Blake Stratton led Indy with two hits and three RBIs in the win, smashing a home run.
Micah Cuthbert drove in two runs as well.
Princeton finished with just four hits in the loss.
Westside 12, Mingo Central 6
Clear Fork – Westside scored seven runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, rallying for a 12-6 win over Mingo Central Friday in Clear Fork.
Hayden Miller drove in four runs out of the leadoff spot, leading the Renegades with two hits.
Bryson Blankenship added two RBIs in the win.
Summers County 15, Meadow Bridge 2
Hinton – Summers County ran out to a 12-0 lead, beating Meadow Bridge 15-2 in five innings Friday in Hinton.
Colten Jones led the Bobcats with four RBIs while Grady Allen collected a pair of hits in the win.
John Williams struck out 12 in the win.
