Prep Basketball Roundup: Greenbrier East and West win along with Oak Hill, Westside and James Monroe

Greenbrier East 74, PikeView 53

Fairlea – Greenbrier East exploded in the second half outscoring PikeView 39-22 to roll past the Panthers 74-53 Tuesday inside Spartan Gym.

Brody Hamric paced the Spartans with 22 points and Gabe Neal followed with 19 points. Don Penn and Darius Burns scored eight points each.

Bryson Bailey led PikeView with 19 points and Elijah Hall scored 14.

Charmco – Greenbrier West dominated Richwood Tuesday night to take an 84-36 win over the Lumberjacks.

Asher Barclay paced the Cavaliers with 21 points and Kamden Sams scored 16 points. Dakota McKinney added 10 points and Carter Vandall scored eight.

Brock Ward scored 13 points for Richwood.

Delbarton – Westside picked a crucial road win Tuesday knocking off Mingo Central 67-53.

Coltin Lester led the Renegades with 19 points, while Kadien Vance added 16 and Austin Bishop scored 15.

Camden Porter had 16 points for the Miners and Brody Dotson tossed in 14.

Lindside – James Monroe pulled away from Midland Trail in the final period to secure a 66-56 win Tuesday.

Ryan Mann dropped in 22 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, to go along with five assists and four steals to lead the Mavericks. Kadyn Hines followed with 17 points and nine rebounds. Brady Baker  finished with 10 points and Bryce Gardinier chipped in eight.

The setback for the Patriots overshadowed a huge night from Payton Bailes who scored 33 points and made seven 3-pointers. Thad Brown had 12 for the Patriots and Cam Thomas added 11.

The Red Devils outscored Independence in every quarter to take a 70-50 win over the Patriots in Coal City Tuesday.

Cole Nelson led three Oak Hill players in double figures with 16 points, while Levi Kiszka and Brent Conley added 15 points each.

Brock Green led all scorers for Independence with 21. Ashton Arthur and Sylas Nelson had nine points apiece.
