Brody Hamric paced the Spartans with 22 points and Gabe Neal followed with 19 points. Don Penn and Darius Burns scored eight points each.

Ryan Mann dropped in 22 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, to go along with five assists and four steals to lead the Mavericks. Kadyn Hines followed with 17 points and nine rebounds. Brady Baker finished with 10 points and Bryce Gardinier chipped in eight.
The setback for the Patriots overshadowed a huge night from Payton Bailes who scored 33 points and made seven 3-pointers. Thad Brown had 12 for the Patriots and Cam Thomas added 11.
