Institute – Poca held Greenbrier West to just nine first half points, cruising to a 58-33 Friday at West Virginia State.

Keaton Meeks led the Dots with 19 points while brother Kambel scored 14.

West was led by Dale Boone who scored 17 points, the only Cavalier in double figures.

Morgantown – Morgantown’s Brody Davis nailed a 24-foot 3 with under 30 seconds to go, delivering Class AAAA No. 1 Morgantown a 56-52 win over Class AAA Shady Spring.

Shady, playing its first game of the season, held a 10-point lead in the third quarter before relinquishing it on a 13-0 Mohigan run.

Sha’ron Young led Morgantown with 14 points while Cole Chapman and Cam Manns led Shady with 12 each.
