Huntington 81, Shady Spring 68
White Sulphur Springs – Class AAAA No. 5 Huntington pulled away from Class AAA No. 1 Shady Spring in the second half for a 81-68 win in the Battle for the Springhouse played at The Greenbrier.
Jayden Clark and Mikey Johnson led the Highlanders with 22 and 21 points, respectively, followed by Avonte Crawford with 14 and Taveon Wilson with 12.
Ammar Maxwell and Gavin Davis both had 19 points for the Tigers and Jalon Bailey scored 15.
Shady Spring will play Greenbrier East Saturday in the consolation game at 1 p.m.

Hico – Trailing by three heading to the final quarter, Class AAA No. 8 Midland Trail outscored AAA No. 5 Herbert Hoover 20-14 to upset the Huskies 43-40 Friday night.
Eli Campbell led the Patriots with 18 points, including 10 in the final quarter. Justin Cooper scored 13 and Thad Brown added six for Trail.
Donovan Brown paced Hoover with a game-high 21 points.

Rayden Triplett led the Highlanders with 16 points followed by Logan Leichliter with 12. Zach McCourt scored nine for Webster.
Braydon McClung paced the Cavaliers with 11 points and Tanner Hagy added seven.

Bryar Mullins led Riverside with 16 points, while Isaiah Coles and Josh Brock scored 15 each.
