Huntington – John Rose lit up the scoreboard Monday night pouring in 40 points to lead Greater Beckley Christian to a 68-39 win over Covenant Christian.
Aaron Hall added 12 points, while Kash Hendrix scored eight and Reece Patterson chipped in seven.
Tyler Farley led Covenant Christian with 12 and Ryan Beilstein added 11.
Greater Beckley (1-1) hosts Nicholas County Thursday.

Pernel Tumer led the Cougars with 20 points and Desmond Jordan added 17 points. Dylan Williams, Jvon Smith and Jayden Simmons had nine points each.
Brycen Sawyers led the Wildcats with a game-high 22 points and Conner Mullins scored 16 points.

Princeton – Mercer Christian raced out to a 43-15 first half lead and cruised past Jefferson Christian 72-49.
Sam Boothe led the Crusaders with 15 points and 12 rebounds, while Chance Watkins and Shaye Basham added 12 points apiece. Briar Lucas was also in double figures with 10 points and M.J. Patton scored nine points.
A.J. Walker led Jefferson Christian with 11 points and Noah Lee had 10.

Montcalm knocked down seven 3-pointers and was 24-for-35 from the free-throw line Saturday to blitz Craig County, Va. 72-54.
The Generals outscored the visitors by 15 points in the third quarter to pull away.
Noah White led Montcalm with 22 points, while Logan Carver scored 12 and Brad Hicks added 11 points. Tristen Cline scored nine and Kobie Neal had eight points for the Generals who moved to 3-0 on the season.
Matthew Lucas led Craig County with a game-high 26 points and Hayden Reynolds scored 16.
Montcalm travels to sectional rival River View Tuesday.
