Garner – Westside had three players foul out Wednesday but overcame those struggles to secure a 61-54 win road win over PikeView in head coach Thomas Evans’ debut in Gardner.
Kaiden Vance and Hunter Lester were two of four Renegades to score in double figures, leading the way with 12 points each in the win. Dale Bledsoe added 11 and Colton Lester 10.
Jared Vestal led PikeView with 14 in the loss while Nathan Riffe scored 12.
Westside improves to 1-0 and will host Tug Valley on Friday. PikeView drops to 0-1 and will play Greater Beckley at Princeton’s tournament on Friday.
