The Lootpress Player of the Week Award sponsored by Mid-State Ford, Bodyworks and The Law Offices of Brandon Steele, has returned for the second year.
Below are the candidates for the 11th and final week of the prep football season. Voting will close Monday at 11:59 P.M. The fan vote will be used in the event of a tie. There are also changes to the Player of the Week voting pertaining to the top overall vote getter that you can read about here
In order for a player to be eligible or nominated, the stat keeper or coach must report all scores and statistics. Scores can be reported to Tylerjackson@lootpress.com and Rustyudy@lootpress.com.
- Kaleb Clark, Nicholas County – Clark rushed 14 times for 221 yards and five touchdowns, helping the Grizzlies to a 58-0 win over PikeView Friday night.
- Braydie Carr, James Monroe – Carr ran 15 times for 129 yards and a touchdown, adding a 65-yard touchdown catch in a 35-7 win over Summers County.
- Ian Cline, Greenbrier East – Cline ran for 174 yards and two touchdowns Friday, helping East close its season with a 39-0 win at Lincoln County.
- Ty Nickell, Greenbrier West – Nickell finished the regular season as the area’s leading rushing. Powering his push was a 228-yard performance in which he scored four times to secure a 47-0 win for the Cavaliers
- Connor Bradford, Liberty – In the Raiders’ season finale, Bradford had the best game of his career. Bradford ran the ball 42 times for 291 yards and four touchdowns, helping Liberty to a 54-43 win over Wyoming East.
