Greenbrier West 54, Meadow Bridge 0
Charmco – Friday night the 2022 Greenbrier West Cavaliers became the first team in school history to start the season with five consecutive shutouts, notching a 54-0 win over Meadow Bridge.
The Cavaliers held the Wildcats to negative 33 yards of total offense and scored two defensive touchdowns in the win.
Ty Nickell scored on two runs (1, 20), also running in a 60-yard fumble recovery for a score. Ethan Holliday had an 11-yard scoring jaunt and a 79-yard interception return for another score and Cole Vandall scored on a 32-yard fumble recovery.
Tucker Lilly hit Kadin Parker for a 57-yard touchdown and lineman Reney Cordial got in on the scoring action with a five-yard run.
Greenbrier West (5-0) travels to Class AA Shady Spring Friday. Meadow Bridge is off next week before traveling to Webster County in two weeks.
