Meadow Bridge – Dustin Adkins threw for 136 yards and a touchdown as Meadow Bridge defeated Gilmer County 24-14 Friday night in Meadow Bridge.
After trailing 14-8 in the third quarter an 11-yard pass from Adkins to Conner Mullins helped the Wildcats regain the lead. With just over a minute left Adkins called his own number, bowling in from 28 yards out to make it a 24-14 game and seal the win.
Seaton Mullins and Ty Roles each had a sack for the Wildcats while Rian Copper added another interception a week after securing three.
Meadow Bridge now improves to 6-4 and will likely make it’s first postseason appearance since 2015.
