James Monroe 14, Mount View 2 (5 innings)
Lindside – Shannon Phipps, Emily Bailey and Jadyn Bradley each had three RBI to lead James Monroe to a 14-2 win over Mount View in five innings.
Phipps had a triple, while Bradley collected two hits. Kaydence Weikle smacked a double and had an RBI for the Mavericks.
Bryleigh Thomas allowed just one hit and fanned seven to get the win in the circle.
Independence 8, Liberty 0 (5 innings)
Glen Daniel – Kendall Martin went 3 for 3 and drove in three runs as Independence picked up its second win over Liberty in an 8-0 victory at Liberty on Monday night.
Trista White added two hits and Sarah Bragg drove in a pair of runs while Emma Lilly pitched all five innings for Indy, allowing just three hits in the win.
Indy improves to 7-4 and will travel to Midland Trail on Tuesday.
Greenbrier East 11, Oak Hill 0
Oak Hill – Olivia Plybon homored and drove in two runs as Greenbrier East dispatched of sectional foe Oak Hill 11-0 Monday in Oak Hill.
Lindsey Black added two hits and drove in three runs while Josi Ervin pitched a complete game, striking out 16 and allowing just one hit.
East improves to 5-3 and will host beckley on Wednesday.
