Greenbrier East 13, Oak Hill 4
Fairlea – Greenbrier East scored in every inning, claiming a 13-4 win at home over Oak Hill in the Class AAA Region 3 Section 2 opener Tuesday.
With the win East will host Beckley on Wednesday at 6:30 while Oak hill will travel to Princeton in an elimination game.
Hailey Ervin blasted a home run in the win, driving in a pair of runs. Alanis McClary added three hits and two RBIs in the win while Lily Carola allowed just one earned run.
Halee Jones eld Oak Hill with two hits and an RBI in the loss.
Beckley 4, Princeton 2
Beckley – Beckley scored all four of its runs in the third inning, claiming a 4-2 win over Princeton Tuesday in Beckley.
With the win Beckley will travel to Greenbrier East on Wednesday while Princeton will host Oak Hill in an elimination game.
Kacie Fraley drove in a pair of runs for the Flying Eagles while Aubrey Smallwood added a pair of hits.
Taylor Scott pitched six innings to earn the win.
Zoey Agnew led Princeton with two hits in the loss.
Midland Trial 4, Charleston Catholic 0
Hico – Midland Trail kept rolling Tuesday, claiming a 4-0 win over Charleston Catholic in Hico.
Madison Rader pitched seven innings of shutout ball, allowing just three hits in the loss while Hannah Beeson collected two hits.
Trail will travel to Greenbrier West on Wednesday.
Greenbrier West 11, Webster County 0
Crawley – Preslee Treadway had her second multi-home run showing of the season Tuesday as Greenbrier West bombarded Webster County 11-0 in Crawley.
Treadway drove in four runs on the evening while Maddie Fields added a trio of RBIs.
West will host Midland Trail on Wednesday.
Nicholas County 11, Liberty 3
Summersville – Nicholas County scored seven runs in the first two innings, rolling to an 11-3 win over Liberty Tuesday in Summersville.
The loss ends Liberty’s season and sends the Grizzlies into an elimination rematch with Independence on Wednesday in Coal City.
Abigail Hillary collected four hits in the win while Cam Neal, Makenzie Hanshaw, Myah Scott and Beth Butcher all drove in two runs each.
Allie Bowles led Liberty with two hits and RBIs.
