HICO, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Midland Trail High School Patriot Marching Band is seeking community support to raise approximately $35,000 to purchase new uniforms for its growing program.
The band has launched a uniform sponsorship campaign to help purchase 65 new marching uniforms, each costing approximately $500.
According to the band, the new uniforms will be inspired by the Colonial Continental Artillery uniforms of the 1770s, incorporating a classic Patriot appearance that reflects the school’s identity and honors American history.
The campaign is intended to provide the band with a distinctive appearance while supporting student musicians, school pride and the continued growth of the program.
The fundraiser began October 19 and will continue through November 2, 2026.
The band is encouraging local businesses, organizations and community members to participate through several sponsorship levels.
Sponsorship opportunities include:
Platinum Sponsor: $1,000 or more
Gold Sponsor: $500 to $999
Silver Sponsor: $251 to $499
Bronze Sponsor: Up to $250
Sponsors will receive recognition through advertising displays similar to those used by Midland Trail’s cheerleading program and other school organizations.
According to the band, a sponsorship recognition sign will be displayed on the exterior wall of the locker room leading into Roger Eades Field at Midland Trail High School.
School officials hope the campaign will provide the financial support needed to outfit the marching band while strengthening connections between the program and the surrounding community.
Those interested in sponsoring the band or obtaining additional information can contact Joseph Elmore, Midland Trail High School’s director of bands, at (304) 658-5184, extension 3113, or by email at [email protected].
The sponsorship campaign is scheduled to conclude November 2.
