HINTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – West Virginia students studying in the fields of horticulture, landscape architecture, and nursery & greenhouse management still have two weeks to apply for the WVNLA (West Virginia Nursery & Landscape Association) Marcus W. Rennix Memorial Scholarship program.
The deadline for scholarship applications for the program is September 30, 2024. Former scholarship recipient and third generation nursery owner, Norman H. Cole III of Pipestem noted how the WVNLA scholarship program has provided assistance to him both personally and professionally over the past several decades.
“As a former WVNLA scholarship recipient, it was an honor to receive the award from this organization,” said Cole, President of Cole Nurseries, Inc. “The money helped me then and can help you now with books and tuition, and can give you a jump start as you work toward your goals. The WVNLA wants to support the next generation of landscape and nursery professionals like you so take a minute and submit your application.”
Cole was a recipient of the WVNLA Rennix Scholarship while studying landscape and horticulture at West Virginia University in 1988 and 1989.
Those interested in submitting an application or in learning more about the program have been encouraged to visit the West Virginia Nursery & Landscape Association website.
