Princeton 6, Oak Hill 5
Princeton – Emma Johnson’s walkoff double in the bottom of the ninth inning delivered Princeton a 6-5 win over Oak Hill Monday in Princeton.
The Tigers led 4-1 through six innings before the visiting Red Devils rallied to take a 5-4 lead on Alexis Stanley’s two-run home run in the top of the seventh.
Abigail Jenkins led Princeton with four hits while Johnson drove in three runs for the game.
Addy Salvatore led the Red Devils with three hits in the loss.
River View 4, Mingo Central 2
Bradshaw – Hannah Honosky struck out 11 as river View picked up a 4-2 win over Mingo Central in Bradshaw on Monday.
Honoksy was hot at the plate as well, nothing three hits, falling a home run short of the cycle.
George Washington 6, Beckley 0
Beckley – Beckley’s bats never found. groove Monday night as George Washington came to town and picked up a 6-0 win over the Flying Eagles on Monday.
Aubrey Smallwood finished with two hits in the loss while striking out 15 batters in the circle.
Greenbrier East 10, Johnson Central 0
Myrtle Beach – Josi Ervin kept rolling in at the beach Monday as Greenbrier East picked up a 10-0 win over Johnson Central at Myrtle Beach Monday.
Ervin allowed just two hits in the victory, fanning 10.
Lily Carola led the Spartans in the box with three hits and three RBI while Lindsay Black, Hailey Ervin and Taylor Boswell collected two hits each.
Chapmanville 11, Wyoming East 8
Chapmanville – Chapmanville rallied from a 6-1 deficit Monday to beat Wyoming East 11-8 in Chapmanville.
The host Tigers scored 10 of their runs in the fourth through sixth innings to secure the win.
Emma Simpson, Kayley Bane and Savannah Brehm led East with two hist each while Andrea Laxton, Alivia Monroe and Carli Raye drove in two runs each.
Independence 9, Liberty 0
Coal City – Delaney Buckland fired a no-hitter in six innings Monday as Independence dispatched Liberty 9-0 in coal City.
Buckland fanned 14 in the win while Kendall Martin launched her third home run of the year, driving in three runs in the win. Alli Hypes added pair of hits and trio of RBI in the the win as well.
Editor’s Note: The Independence and Liberty box scores both showed no-hitters though the pitching, error and hitting lines all differed. As such the home box score is considered the official one.
Shady Spring 9, Mount View 2
Welch – Shady Spring scored in five separate innings Monday to secure a 9-2 win over Mount View in Welch.
Avary Bragg led the charge with three hits while Raegan Lane picked up the win in the circle.
