Shady Spring 12, Oak Hill 8
Oak Hill – Shady Spring scored seven runs in the top of the seventh inning Thursday night to erase a three-run deficit and take a 12-8 win over Oak Hill.
Kenidi Creager had three hits and two RBI, while Shailee Sexton drove in three runs to pace the Tigers. Mallie Lawson and Avary Bragg also had two hits with Bragg smacking a triple in the win.
Sadie Branch had two home runs and drove in five runs to lead the Red Devils, while Halee Jones hit a double.
Shady Spring runs it winning streak to eight games against just one loss and will host Mount View Friday.
Oak Hill hosts Sherman Friday.
Independence 23, Princeton 0
Coal City – Delaney Buckland drove in seven runs and pitched a shutout as Independence earned a 23-0 win over Princeton in three innings Thursday in Coal City.
Emma Lilly added four hits for the Patriots in the win.
Abigail Jenkins collected Princeton’s lone hit in the loss.
Westside 8, River View 7
Clear Fork – River View’s late comeback was erased Thursday as Westside beat the Raiders with a walkoff, securing an 8-7 win in Clear Fork.
Hannah Honoksy was one of four Raiders to notch two hits in the loss, driving in a run. She also struck out 10 in the circle.
Bluefield 9, Beckley 8
Beckley – Grace Richardson drove in three runs Thursday as Bluefield picked up a 9-8 win at Beckley.
Cara Brown and Isabella Smith added a hit and an RBI each while Isabella picked up the win with 10 strikeouts in a complete-game effort.
Aubrey Smallwood led Beckley with three hits in the loss.
