Woodrow Wilson pounded out 11 hits and rode Taylor Scott’s pitching gem to an 8-0 win over Princeton in five innings.
Scott allowed just one hit and struckout 10 Tigers, while walking just one batter to collect the win. The sophomore standout helped her own cause at the plate with two hits and one RBI.
Natalia Meade, Aubrey Smallwood and Kayla Bird also had two hits apiece. Meade smacked a triple and had two RBI, while Smallwood and Bird each had a double with one run batted in.
Jayden Shrewsbury added a single and an RBI for the Flying Eagles (10-2).
Woodrow Wilson is scheduled to play Liberty Friday.
Shady Spring 8, Liberty 0, 5 innings
Penn State signee Paige Maynard pitched a perfect game and struckout 11 Liberty batters to lead Shady Spring to an 8-0 win over the Raiders in five innings.
Maynard and Olivia Barnett did the biggest damage for Shady at the plate with both players driving in three runs on two hits. Maynard smacked two doubles and Barnett hit one.
Mallie Lawson had three hits on the night and Hadley had an RBI.
Shady Spring is scheduled to host Greenbrier East Friday.
