Liberty and Shady Spring earned tri-match victories Thursday night.
The Raiders won the opening set 25-22 before Wyoming East bounced back with a 25-19 win in set two. Liberty took set three from the Warriors, 25-20, to win the match 2-1.
The ladies from Glen Daniel kept rolling in their second match defeating Summers County 25-16 and 25-9, winning the match 2-0.
Shady Spring traveled to George Washington Thursday for a battle with Parkersburg and the home-standing Patriots.
After dropping the first set 25-22 to G-dub, the Tigers roared back to take the next two sets, 25-20 and 25-18.
In match number two, Shady Spring earned its second win of the night over a Class AAA foe, sweeping both sets 25-22 and 25-13.
Shady Spring is back in action Saturday morning at Woodrow Wilson High School in the Shirley Brown Invitational.
Liberty travels to county rival Independence Tuesday.
