PRINCETON, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A Princeton man is facing charges after allegedly threatening his neighbors with a butcher knife during a heated outburst on Friday afternoon.
According to police, officers responded to the 1000 block of Bluefield Avenue around 12:30 p.m. on October 17, 2025, after receiving reports of a man brandishing a weapon.
When officers arrived, they spoke with victims and witnesses, who reported that Fred Clayton Walls, of 1004 Bluefield Avenue, had been waving a butcher knife and shouting obscenities in their direction.
Witnesses told police that Walls ignored demands to go back inside and continued threatening his neighbors before leaving the scene in a white Ford Focus. One said she and her two-year-old son witnessed the incident and that she recorded video of Walls yelling and waving the knife.
All three witnesses told officers this was not the first time Walls had acted aggressively, and they expressed ongoing concerns for their safety.
Police collected written statements and the video evidence from the witnesses. Based on the investigation, Patrolman B.A. Wilson stated he will be seeking an arrest warrant for assault and brandishing a deadly weapon against Walls.
