CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Governor Patrick Morrisey has appointed Dr. Michael Kominsky of Daniels to the West Virginia Board of Chiropractic.
Dr. Kominsky brings nearly four decades of experience as a chiropractic physician to the position.

A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, Georgia, he has operated Kominsky Chiropractic since 2008, first in Oak Hill and later in Beckley.
Throughout his career, Dr. Kominsky has been active in the profession at both state and national levels.
He is a member of the West Virginia Chiropractic Society and the International Chiropractors Association Sports Council, serving athletes during the 1986 Olympics in Seoul, Korea.
He also holds certification in Independent Medical Examinations from the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners and the West Virginia Workers Compensation Commission.
In addition, he is recognized by the National Association of Disability Evaluating Professionals for disability and impairment evaluations.
Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Kominsky has training in neurodiagnostic studies and is affiliated with the American Board of Clinical Electrodiagnosis. His career also reflects his passion for athletics.
A former track standout, he competed on a full scholarship at UNC Chapel Hill, ran with the Adidas track club, and won the West Virginia Toughman Contest in 1996.
He and his wife, Julie, have two children: Alexandria, a literary agent in Dallas, and Miles, a software engineer in Charlotte.
Dr. Kominsky’s appointment is part of a slate of new board and committee members announced this week by Governor Morrisey.
