RALEIGH COUNTY, W.V. (LOOTPRESS) – During a regular meeting held Tuesday morning, the Raleigh County Commission approved a bid for a paving project to be completed at Lake Stephens.
At the start of the meeting, President Dave Tolliver and his fellow commissioners were presented with bids from five paving companies: Thomas Asphalt Services, East Coast Asphalt, Southern West Virginia Paving, AAA Paving & Sealing and Promise Land Development.
After reviewing each proposal, the Commission approved AAA Paving & Sealing’s bid for $92,230.
The company will be tasked with four separate paving projects at Lake Stephens. According to President Tolliver, this will include paving the parking lot near the winter boat ramp and repaving a section near the dam, which was torn up due to construction.
President Tolliver was not yet able to share a start date for the project.
