RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Raleigh County firefighter that responded to the crash that killed his wife and daughter has been arrested for multiple sex crimes.
Back in March, 35-year-old firefighter William Pettry responded to a fatal car crash that killed both his wife and 3-year-old daughter in Raleigh County.
Following the tragic accident, the community rallied around Pettry and supported him both emotionally and financially as one GoFundMe raised over $16,000 for Pettry.
According to the West Virginia Department of Corrections, on Saturday, July 22, William Pettry was arrested by police for multiple sex crimes. Pettry has been charged with Sex Abuse in the 1st Degree, Soliciting a Minor Via Computer, Sexual Abuse By Parent, Guardian, Custodian Or Other Person In Position Of Trust To A Child, Sexual Assault 1st Degree, and Filming Sexual Explicit Conduct Of A Minor.
Pettry is currently at Southern Regional Jail on a $250,000 bond.
