COVINGTON, VA (LOOTPRESS) – A Raleigh County man was arrested Thursday morning after police say he threw a brick at an occupied vehicle in Covington, VA, and later led officers on a brief search.
According to the Covington Division of Police, the incident happened around 7:43 a.m. on Sept. 25 in the 300 block of East Prospect Street.

The victim, who was sitting inside his car when the brick was thrown, followed the suspect’s vehicle but eventually lost sight of it due to what police described as “dangerous and erratic driving.”
The victim later identified the suspect as someone he knew and provided police with a description of the vehicle.
Around 9:06 a.m., the victim called police again to report the suspect had returned to the area. An officer soon spotted the vehicle at West Hawthorne Street and North Monroe Avenue.
Police conducted a felony traffic stop and arrested the suspect, identified as Cameron Lewis of Coal City. He was charged with shooting at or throwing missiles at an occupied car, a Class 4 felony under Virginia law.
Additional charges were filed related to his blood alcohol content and operation of a motor vehicle.
