RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office arrested William Lytle on October 24, 2025, following a reported domestic disturbance in the Harper Heights area.
Deputies responded to a 911 hang-up and were informed that Lytle had fled the scene prior to their arrival.
Officers later located him nearby and took him into custody.
Lytle was charged with burglary – entry of a dwelling, strangulation, domestic battery, and destruction of property. Officials also noted that he had active warrants from a previous incident.
Sheriff Frank Priddy and Chief Deputy Frankie Shelton thanked Deputies M. Dunlap, Cpl. J. Hensley, Cpl. J. Howard, and K-9 partner Scio, as well as Deputy Sneddon, for their assistance in the investigation.
He is currently at Southern Regional Jail on a $76,000 cash/surety bond.
Authorities reminded the public that all suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
