RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office announced that a local man has been charged with financially exploiting an elderly person.
Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office began investigating the case in July 2025.

As a result of the investigation, Richard Graham Segars was charged with Financial Exploitation of an Elderly Person.
Sheriff Frank Priddy and Chief Deputy Frankie Shelton thanked the Detective Bureau for their “continued hard work, dedication, and commitment to protecting the citizens of Raleigh County.”
Authorities emphasized that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
