RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Raleigh County Circuit Clerkâs Office has released its May 2026 docket call sheets for newly indicted criminal cases scheduled to appear before multiple circuit court judges in June.
The lengthy list includes dozens of felony cases ranging from drug distribution and burglary to child abuse, sexual assault, fraud, firearms offenses, and homicide-related charges.
Among the more serious indictments:
- James Anthony Vannatter was indicted on multiple counts including first-degree sexual assault, sexual abuse by a parent or guardian, incest, and distribution of obscene material to a minor. Bond was set at $250,000.
- Charles Robert Stanley faces 10 felony counts of transferring stolen property along with additional misdemeanor charges. Bond was listed at $300,000.
- Darnell Dewayne Mitchell was indicted in separate cases involving grand larceny, malicious wounding, use of a firearm, and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. Bond was set at $200,000.
- Several defendants were indicted on drug-related charges, including possession with intent to deliver, delivery of controlled substances, and felony conspiracy.
- Multiple defendants were also indicted on charges involving child abuse, gross child neglect, domestic violence, and strangulation.
The docket call sheets show cases assigned to Judges Andrew G. Dimlich, Michael E. Froble, Darl W. Poling, and Todd A. Kirby, with hearings scheduled throughout June 2026.
Additional indictments include charges involving fraud schemes, identity theft, financial exploitation of elderly individuals, fleeing police, burglary, animal cruelty, firearms violations, and sex offender registration violations.
The docket call sheets list only formal charges and allegations. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
