RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Sheriff Frank Priddy has announced a new partnership between the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office and the Safe Surfin’ Foundation, an organization focused on promoting internet safety for children worldwide.
Sheriff Priddy recently met with Safe Surfin’ Regional Manager Jim Hale to begin the collaboration.
The foundation’s mission is to prevent online crimes before they occur, stop the spread of hateful or illegal messages, and encourage the positive use of technology.
The organization provides internet safety education, training, and materials at no cost.
As part of the new partnership, the sheriff’s office will host an internet safety training class for law enforcement officers on May 16. The location will be announced soon.
The free training aims to equip officers with the tools they need to protect children in an increasingly digital world.
Chief Deputy Frankie Shelton is also supporting the initiative.
Officers interested in attending the training are encouraged to contact Sgt. B.J. Adkins at the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office for more information.
