FAIRDALE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office has announced it will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
The checkpoint will take place on WV Route 99 in the Fairdale area from 6 p.m. until midnight.

The operation is funded through a grant from the West Virginia Commission on Drunk Driving Prevention.
In addition to checking for impaired drivers, deputies will also be inspecting vehicles for proper registration and insurance documentation, as well as ensuring compliance with occupant safety laws.
The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office reminds the public: “If you drive while impaired, you will go to jail.”
