JUMPING BRANCH, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One Raleigh County woman has been arrested for attempted murder after stabbing a man in the chest and then hitting him.
According to a criminal complaint, on Monday, September 11, 2023, police responded to a residence in Jumping Branch for a report of a domestic disturbance between 51-year-old Scott Lilly and 36-year-old Brandy Lilly.
While on the phone with 911, Mr. Lilly advised that the domestic altercation was physical and Ms. Lilly was chasing him with a knife.
He then told 911 that Ms. Lilly had stabbed him in the chest with a knife. She then continued to hit him after she had stabbed him.
Upon the arrival of police, Mr. Lilly was located standing in the kitchen and was bleeding from the chest.
Ms. Lilly was located in the pantry of the kitchen covered in blood as well. Mr. Lilly stated that she used a kitchen knife that was located on the kitchen floor by a mop bucket and bag of dog food.
Brandy Lilly was arrested and charged with attempted murder. She is currently at Southern Regional Jail on a $30,000 bond.
