BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Renegade Monster Trucks has issued a public apology following its July 4 event at Beckley Motor Speedway, acknowledging the traffic and parking issues that caused significant delays for many attendees entering the venue.
The event featured monster truck competitions, freestyle motocross performances and a fireworks display.
While the show itself proceeded as planned, numerous attendees experienced lengthy traffic backups and delays entering the speedway, with some arriving after the event had already begun despite reaching the area hours in advance.
In a statement released after the event, Renegade Monster Trucks thanked fans for the large turnout while accepting responsibility for the logistical challenges.
“We do not take these problems lightly,” said event management. “Our fans invest their hard-earned money and valuable time to come see us, and we fell short of delivering the smooth entry experience you deserved. We own that mistake completely.”
The company said it was pleased with the turnout and the performances during the event, calling the show a success from a production standpoint, but acknowledged that the problems outside the venue negatively affected the overall experience for many spectators.
According to the statement, event organizers have reviewed the traffic and entry issues and are already working on improvements ahead of a planned return to Beckley Motor Speedway in 2027.
“We are fully committed to ensuring that our promised 2027 return to Beckley Motor Speedway is not only phenomenal on the track, but efficient, safe, and stress-free from the moment you pull up to the gates.”
The company concluded its statement by thanking fans for their support and patience, saying it looks forward to providing a better experience during its next Beckley event.
