MORGANTOWN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – After a full review of operations for Auxiliary and Business Services, Shared Services and Talent and Culture, steps are being taken to ensure the administrative units operate more efficiently and effectively to better serve University faculty, staff and students in the future.
Underway now are reallocations of services and resources across the three units with the goal of improving workforce recruitment and retention.
The changes are part of the reorganization of multiple University units that was previously announced.
Since that initial announcement, leaders of all three units have collected operational feedback through surveys and other methods.
Auxiliary and Business Services includes Environmental Health and Safety; Facilities and Services; Planning, Design, Construction and Scheduling; Procurement Contracting and Payment Services; Sustainability; and Transportation and Parking.
Shared Services provides access to human resources, financial management, and sponsored-project financial management services and support.
Based on feedback, efforts are being undertaken to further streamline the hiring recruitment and sourcing functions between Talent and Culture and Shared Services to remove duplicative efforts and provide better customer service.
Talent and Culture includes HR partners; Benefits Strategy and Compensation; Employee Relations; Leadership and Organizational Development, Operations; and Talent Strategy.
Affected employees in Facilities and Services; Procurement; HR partners; Employee Relations; Leadership and Organizational Development, Operations; and Talent Strategy were notified Wednesday (Feb. 21) of the results of the review process.
