SUMMERS COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A section of Route 20 in Summers County is closed Saturday afternoon after downed trees brought down power lines and a utility pole.
According to Summers County 911, the closure is in effect between the West End and Summers County High School. Emergency crews are responding to the scene.
The downed power lines are smoking. Motorists are urged to avoid the area and use alternate routes until the roadway can be reopened.
There is no estimated time for the road to reopen. Drivers are asked to stay clear of the area while crews work to remove the trees and repair the damaged lines.
