BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) The Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce welcomed yet another brand-new business to the Beckley area on Friday afternoon, as Scentister officially opened its doors with a Grand Opening ribbon cutting ceremony.
Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce Chairperson Tiffany Kapp oversaw the ribbon cutting ceremony, congratulating the business owners and introducing Ben Spurlock, representative from the Office of United States Senator Joe Manchin, who addressed those in attendance and issued well wishes on behalf of the Senator.
“Thank you for your commitment to helping the Beckley community grow and flourish. Congratulations!,” read the Senator’s remarks in part.
Co-owner Devin also spoke during the ceremony, thanking those in attendance and offering a heartfelt dedication to his niece Cheyenne, who passed last year.
Located on Prince Street near the Post Office, Scentister was born from the vision of owners Devin Sawyers and Max Webb who sought to establish their own unique take on West Virginia-made goods with their original line of scent products.
Made with premium phthalate free fragrance oils fused with essential oils, the Scentister brand offers an array of custom scents to appeal to a broad range of patrons.
The ribbon cutting ceremony was held as part of an Open House event, which took place from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Friday in conjunction with the Grand Opening of the store location.
Scentister can be found at 303 Prince Street in Downtown Beckley, and those hoping to learn more can visit the Scentister Facebook page for more information.
