PINEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department and Pineville Police Department will conduct a seat belt checkpoint on Friday, Aug. 21.
The checkpoint will be held along WV Route 10 near the Pineville Library from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
According to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department, the checkpoint is aimed at promoting traffic safety, encouraging seat belt use and reducing traffic-related injuries and fatalities throughout the county.
The checkpoint is being conducted with support from the West Virginia Highway Safety Program.
