SKYGUSTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A domestic dispute in McDowell County has led to multiple criminal allegations, including assault, destruction of property, identity theft, and illegally procuring electricity.
Deputies responded to a complaint Monday from a female victim, who reported the incident to McDowell County Communications. According to the report, the victim had recently been discharged from the hospital and attempted to return to the Gary Bottom residence of Alan McClure, where she had been living.
She told deputies that McClure became enraged when she arrived and revealed she was pregnant by another man. She claimed McClure was actively burning her clothing upon her arrival. When she confronted him, she said McClure grabbed her by the throat, threw her to the ground, and restrained her as two women—identified as Adriane Fraizer and Samantha Keller—allegedly began kicking her.
In addition to the physical assault, she reported that someone had fraudulently connected electricity at McClure’s home in her name. She stated that after she had the service disconnected, it was illegally reconnected.
Deputies, along with Sgt. Martin investigated the scene and discovered that the power meter at McClure’s home had been tampered with. An extension cord was found running from the residence to a nearby camper, confirming unauthorized electricity use. McClure gave verbal consent for deputies to search the property, where they located a burn pile containing women’s clothing and other debris. The pile was found within 100 feet of a waterway, a violation of environmental regulations.
The total value of the victim’s damaged property was estimated at under $1,000.
Deputies are seeking warrants for McClure, Fraizer, and Keller. The case remains under investigation and charges are pending review by a McDowell County magistrate.
