The festival will feature a country and folk lineup headlined by Turnpike Troubadours, 49 Winchester and Morgan Wade.
Additional performers include Sam Bush, The Record Company, American Aquarium, Lindsay Lou, Crowe Boys, Jon Stickley Trio, Larry Keel Experience, Colby T. Helms & The Virginia Creepers, Mama Said String Band, Big Daddy Love, The Gasoline Gypsies and Corduroy Brown.
According to a news release, Snowshoe Mountain is reviving the Ballhooter Festival, which was previously a winter-season staple at the resort.
“The Ballhooter Festival used to be a staple of the winter season here on the mountain, so we knew if we were going to bring it back then we needed to do it big.” said Patti Duncan, Snowshoe Mountain President & COO.
“We’re working with Across-the-Way Productions, the folks behind FloydFest, to make sure that this event is truly special and we’re absolutely thrilled with the lineup. Get ready for a bigger, brighter, and better Ballhooter than ever before, featuring three full days of live music, mountain activities, and the electric energy that makes this place unforgettable.”
Snowshoe officials said lodging and ticket packages for the festival are now available.
In addition to the festival, Snowshoe Mountain offers a variety of summer activities, including the Snowshoe Bike Park and the Raven Golf Club, along with hiking, scenic chairlift rides, off-road tours, e-bike tours, swimming and paddling.
The resort is set to begin summer operations on May 21, while the Raven Golf Club is already open daily for the season.
