MONTCALM, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man and his wife face charges after violently attacking his mother.
According to Mercer County Deputies, on July 22, 2021, a victim came to the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department to file a complaint on her son Rodger Lee Stables Jr and his wife, Jennifer Hope Stables.
The victim stated that about five weeks prior, her son, Rodger Stables Jr., and Jennifer Stables physically assaulted her in her home located in Montcalm. She continued to state that she was thrown to the ground and struck and repeatedly kicked by both suspects, which resulted in her being hospitalized at Bluefield Regional Medical Center for several weeks.
The victim told deputies that she had several internal injuries and damage done to her arms. The victim told deputies that she would provide them with a copy of her medical records.
Rodger Stables and Jennifer Stables are facing charges of violent crimes against the elderly. They both are in Southern Regional Jail under a 50,000 dollar bond.
