ST. ALBANS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The St. Albans Parks & Recreation Department is bringing holiday cheer back to the community with the annual St. Albans Festival of Lights, now in its 36th year. This much-loved holiday event will illuminate St. Albans City Park from November 29 through December 23, with a final night on December 26. Open nightly from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., the festival offers free admission, though donations are appreciated to support this cherished tradition.
The festival features hundreds of handmade light displays, inviting residents and visitors to experience the season’s magic.
Event Highlights:
•Walking Tour – November 26, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.: Start the festivities with an exclusive walking tour, allowing visitors to view each display up close and enjoy a festive stroll.
•Free Hayrides – November 27, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.: Families can cozy up for a magical hayride through the illuminated park, perfect for capturing holiday memories.
•Opening Night – November 29, 2024: The festival opens for nightly drive-throughs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., continuing through December 23, with a final night on December 26. The festival is closed on December 24 and 25.
Santa House at Roadside Park
Adding to the festivities, the Santa House at Roadside Park returns with expanded displays and holiday activities. Santa will be available nightly from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. from November 29 through December 23, inviting families to take photos and soak in the holiday spirit.
