St. Albans Haunted Trail Returns for Spooky Fun and Halloween Thrills

ST ALBANS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The much-anticipated St. Albans Haunted Trail is back, promising another season of thrills and chills at the St. Albans City Park Nature Trail. This year’s event will take place on October 11-12 and October 18-19 (Friday and Saturday nights), from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, offering a fright-filled adventure perfect for families, friends, and Halloween enthusiasts.

Main Event Details:

  • Dates: October 11-12 & 18-19, 2024 (Fridays & Saturdays)
  • Time: 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM
  • Admission: $5 per person
  • Location: St. Albans City Park Nature Trail, 931 Observatory Drive, St. Albans, WV
  • Parking: Free parking available at St. Albans City Park
  • Hayrides: Complimentary hayrides will take guests from the parking lot to the Haunted Trail entrance

The Haunted Trail will feature guided tours through dark, winding paths, packed with spooky surprises around every corner. In addition to the haunted fun, attendees can enjoy free nightly movies, contests, and concessions, with plenty of Halloween-themed activities throughout the evening.

Special Features:

Moon Lit Tales & Haunted Trails Experience (October 11-12 Only) For an extra special experience, join local author London Blue on October 11th and 12th from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM for the Moon Lit Tales & Haunted Trails Experience. Guests can solve a mystery on the trail for a chance to win prizes. Additional entertainment includes:

  • Halloween music by DJ Jay
  • Selfies with the Purple Hearse and a 12-foot Spider
  • Costume parade at 6:00 PM
  • Belly dancing class at 6:30 PM ($10 per person)
  • Fire dances by the Appalachian Spider Witch at 7:30 PM and 8:30 PM
  • Over 40 vendors and food trucks offering spooky goods and treats

Accessibility & Sensory Night – October 17, 2024 This year, the Haunted Trail will also offer an Accessibility & Sensory Night on October 17 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This special night will feature a shorter version of the trail with minimal scares, designed to provide a fun, inclusive experience for those with sensory or accessibility needs. Admission for this night is just $2 per person.

Accessibility Information:

While parts of the trail are ADA accessible, certain sections may pose challenges due to hills and uneven terrain. Guests with mobility concerns are encouraged to contact event organizers in advance to ensure a positive experience for all.

Volunteer Opportunities:
