CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Legislative Advisor and Media Specialist for the West Virginia State Senate, Marilyn Hall has been named as a council member for the White House Historical Association.
With a council comprising just over one hundred members nationwide, the White House Historical Association was founded by First Lady Jaqueline Kennedy in 1961. The organization seeks to preserve and educate members of the American public with regard to the rich and storied history of the White House and of the United States.
Prior to joining the WHHA Council, Hall has served as a licensed social worker in the state of West Virginia, serving in leadership roles in both the public and private sectors and working toward the preservation of families and protection of children.
An adamant advocate for families and children, she has worked tirelessly toward the expansion of resources and support for children with special needs, a vulnerable portion of the population about which she is particularly passionate.
In 2021, Hall left the private sector to become the Assistant to the Cabinet Secretary for Children’s Programs in the West Virginia Department of Human Services, where she assisted in leading efforts of the state for the implementation of mental health programs for children at risk of home removal.
She currently serves in the role of Media Specialist and Legislative Advisor with the West Virginia State Senate, and also serves on the board of the Raleigh County Family Support Center where she encourages active involvement from members of the community.
Outside of her professional life, Hall enjoys spending time with her husband Daniel and daughter, Paydin.
