Steven Lee Fox, 52, of Piney View, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at the University of Kentucky Hospital following a short illness.
Steve was born in Beckley, WV on October 3, 1968 to the late Roger Fox and Carolyn Fox of Climax, NC.
Steve was larger than life and known as a gentle giant. He was a former employee of FMRS and of ResCare. He had a heart of gold and was loved by everyone that met him. Steve will always be remembered for his deep voice, contagious laugh, and a huge heart.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Bessie Bailey.
Those left to cherish his memory, his mother, Carolyn “Jo” Fox; sister, Amy Robertson and husband, Randale; nieces, Taylor and Olivia Robertson; cousins whom he considered his brother and sister, Jeffrey Bell of Piney View, and Amber Hammond and husband, Brian, and their children, Mason and Cody Hammond of Piney View, which he loved like his own; and hundreds of friends that he considered as family.
The family would like to thank everyone at UK Hospital for the excellent care Steve received during his short stay, and also Dr. Wisman for always being there for him. We are eternally grateful.
