PRINCETON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Summit Christian Academy (SCA) celebrated a significant milestone on Wednesday with a groundbreaking ceremony for their new elementary school in Princeton.
This new addition will expand the school’s mission of academic excellence from a Biblical worldview, which began in 2024 when Johnston Chapel Baptist Church launched SCA as a middle and high school.
The ceremony marked the next step in SCA’s growth, as the school will soon offer kindergarten through 12th grade beginning in August 2025.
The school’s focus is to nurture not only academic development but also to foster a love for service and faith.
SCA leaders extended a warm thank you to several local and state representatives who attended the event, including Larry Pack, WV State Treasurer; Christian White, Hope Scholarship ESP Coordinator; Toni O’Saile, Representative for WV Delegate Marty Gearheart; and several Mercer County Commissioners: Bill Archer, Greg Puckett, Brian Blankenship, and former commissioner Gene Buckner.
The Hope Scholarship, which is available to all West Virginia residents, will help cover tuition costs for eligible students and is not based on income.
