WHEELING, WV (LOOTPRESS) Two individuals have reportedly been arrested and charged in connection to a shooting which took place in the Wheeling area Wednesday morning.
The Wheeling Police Department reports that, in the early hours of the morning of Wednesday, August 7, 2024, a shooting took place in the Noarth Park area of wheeling involving a minimum of two suspects and one victim.
The suspects in question, identified by authorities as Tanya N. Park – 19 years old of Wheeling, WV – and Dashae R. Young – 18 years old of Wheeling, WV – have both been arrested and charged according to law enforcement.
An unidentified victim confirmed to have been injured as the result of the shooting was transported to the hospital to received medical care and, as of Wednesday afternoon, remained under the care of hospital staff. The condition of the victim is unknown at the time of writing, and it is unclear how or why the shooting occurred.
Both identified suspects have reportedly been arraigned by an Ohio County Magistrate and, as of Wednesday afternoon, were in the custody of Northern Regional Jail.
Dashae R. Young has been charged with one count of Malicious Wounding, while Tanya N. Park has been charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver.
