TORNADO, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Hatfield McCoy Trails and the Kanawha County Commission on Tuesday announced the grand opening of the Tornado Single Trax Trail System in Kanawha County.
Located at 7900 Smith Creek Road near Meadowood Park in Tornado, WV, the state-of-the-art, single-track trail system offers approximately 30 miles to riders operating both dirt bikes and electronic bikes. Reports state that the system is slated to become the largest of its kind east of the Mississippi River, and possibly throughout the entire country.
National Champion rider, Jarrett Tincher was on-hand for the grand opening of the trail system, kicking things off with a ride through the ceremonial ribbon.
The project came to fruition in part as the result of support and contributions from the likes of Senators Shelley Moore Capito and Joe Manchin, as well as Governor Jim Justice, Congresswoman Carol Miller, Kanawha County Parks & Recreation, Hatfield & McCoy, and many others.
“This is a remarkable addition to our region’s recreational landscape,” Kanawha County leadership said of the system in a statement. “We invited everyone to come and explore the new Hatfield & McCoy Tornado Single Trax Trail System and Experience the thrill of this extraordinary trail!”
