MORGANTOWN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – According to a press release from the Morgantown Police Department, three men are behind bars after a burglary at a woman’s apartment in Morgantown.
Police say a 911 call for a burglary in progress was made at around 1:45 AM. A woman had called and told police that when she was walking into her apartment, three men, whom she did not know shoved her inside the apartment and came in with her.
The men then locked the door behind them. When officers arrived on the scene they witnessed a man attempting to escape the apartment through a window. The man noticed the police and went back into the apartment and refused to leave.
Morgantown Police requested the assistance of the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office. Police eventually entered the apartment and all suspects were found and arrested.
Anthony Quinn, 24, of Grafton, Andrew Keith, 36, of Morgantown, have been charged with one count of burglary.
According to Monongalia Magistrate Ron Bane’s office, the third suspect, 25-year-old Andrew Trefz, gave a false identity at the time of his arrest and he is now being charged with not only burglary, but also charges of forgery and uttering for providing a false identity at the time of his arrest.
