POINT PLEASANT, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Mason County man faces felony charges in relation to a 2022 incident in which a Tudor’s Biscuit World location was the subject of a break-in.
The Mason County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office reports that David L. Darst – 49 years old of Mason County, West Virginia – pled guilty on Wednesday in Mason County Circuit Court to one felony count of “destruction of property” and one felony count of “grand larceny” with regard to the incident.
Darst is expected to return to Mason County Court in September for procedures relating to formal acceptance of the plea and sentencing. Darst faces between two and twenty years in prison for the convictions in question.
Mason County Prosecutor Seth Gaskins extended his gratitude to Chief Colton McKinney of the Mason Metro Police Department along with C. Gibbs of the Mason County Sheriff’s Office, “for their thorough investigation and for helping to bring this defendant to justice.”
Additional details pertaining to the sentencing relating to the Tudor’s Biscuit World break-in are expected to emerge in the coming months.
