CHARLES TOWN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Two people have been arrested after stealing items from a residence.
According to the Charles Town Police Department, on August 15th, police responded to a report of theft at a residence on South George Street.
Through their investigation, officers identified an individual of interest.
Four days later, on August 19th, police executed a search and seizure warrant at a residence in the 300 block of West Congress Street.
During the search, officers recovered most of the stolen items. Additional stolen property was found at a recycling and scrap facility in Ranson.
All recovered items have since been returned to their rightful owner.
As a result of the investigation, two arrests were made.
Timothy Wayne Custer, 36, of Charles Town, has been charged with grand larceny, a felony. Amanda Faye Custer, 44, also of Charles Town, faces felony charges of receiving and transferring stolen goods, as well as conspiracy.
Police indicated that additional charges may follow.
The swift resolution of this case was attributed to the vigilance of the victim, cooperation from witnesses, and information provided by the community.
