HUNTINGTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Two men have been arrested in connection with a violent assault that occurred in Huntington’s Ritter Park on July 16, 2025.
According to the Huntington Police Department, a 22-year-old Huntington resident reported being severely beaten by two individuals, resulting in substantial injuries.

The assault was recorded and later shared across multiple social media platforms, prompting public concern and a swift police investigation.
Following the report, felony malicious assault warrants were issued for James Clapper, 21, of Flatwoods, Kentucky, and Brock Mazdra, 18, of Huntington.
On the evening of Sunday, July 20, both suspects were located and arrested in Kentucky by members of the Kentucky ATF HIDTA Task Force.
The Huntington Police Department thanked its law enforcement partners for their prompt assistance in apprehending the suspects.
