BERKELEY COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Two people were injured Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on Tuscarora Pike in Berkeley County, according to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies responded to the 9500 block of Tuscarora Pike around 1:45 p.m. after receiving reports of a collision involving a Hyundai SUV and a John Deere farm tractor operated by the West Virginia Department of Highways.
According to the initial investigation, the SUV was traveling westbound when it crossed the centerline and struck the eastbound farm tractor.
Both vehicles were heavily damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
The SUV driver was transported to Berkeley Medical Center with apparent serious injuries.
The tractor driver was also taken to the hospital but is reported to have non-life-threatening injuries.
The incident remains under investigation by Sergeant Ennis.
