WHEELING, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Two men are facing charges after a traffic stop in the Warwood neighborhood Wednesday afternoon led to the discovery of illegal drugs.
Around 2:30 p.m., a Wheeling Police officer stopped a vehicle near Warwood Avenue and North 11th Street. Police said one of the passengers ran from the scene but was located a short time later on Viking Drive.

During a search of the suspect, the area, and the vehicle, officers recovered illegal drugs, including a large quantity of methamphetamine.
Arrested were Alphonso Curtis Campbell, 22, of Columbus, Ohio, and Kewai Tyrone Hunter, 24, also of Columbus.
Campbell, a passenger in the vehicle, is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. Hunter faces charges of being a fugitive from justice and destruction of property.
Both men were taken to the Northern Regional Jail.
Police said schools in the area were placed on lockdown as a precaution during the incident.
